World Tennis welcomes first players into Player Mentoring Programme

28 Sep 2026

World Tennis has announced the first group of players selected for its inaugural Player Mentoring Programme, marking an important milestone in the continued growth of the World Tennis Player Care Programme.

Developed in partnership with the International Lawn Tennis Club and Give Learn, the 12-month initiative has been designed to support players as they navigate the demands of professional tennis while preparing for opportunities beyond their playing careers.

Following a competitive application process, the selected players represent a diverse range of nations and backgrounds from across the World Tennis Tour.

Each participant has been matched with an experienced mentor from industries including finance, technology, entrepreneurship, media and business.

Their mentors will provide the players with advice and guidance on relevant matters associated with their expertise and the process will provide players with a connection and perspective from outside tennis.

Through eight one-to-one mentoring sessions and four interactive group workshops, players will receive practical guidance on building their personal brand, developing business ideas, financial planning and preparing for life after professional sport.

Who are the players taking part in the Player Mentoring Programme?

  • Alice Gillan (GBR)
  • Anna Borovinskaya (USA)
  • Alicia Barnett (GBR)
  • Alexandra Osborne (AUS)
  • Alvaro Bueno Gil (ESP)
  • Max Benaim (GBR)
  • Francoise Abanda (CAN)
  • Oscar Brown (GBR)
  • Kaipo Marshall (BAR)
  • Zoe Hitt (USA)
  • Sarah Hawkshaw (IRL)

Alongside mentoring, the programme offers access to the Wellbeing App, wellbeing resources, financial literacy education, career transition support, travel security services, social media abuse support and confidential mental health services.
