Stuart Parker, Billy Harris, and Charles Broom continued a strong end to the season for British players on the men’s ITF World Tennis Tour.

A triple British triumph – with Parker prevailing at M15 Monastir, Harris winning at M15 Antalya and Broom winning at M15 Heraklion – follows on from the nations double men’s triumph the previous week, when Jack-Pinnington Jones and Felix Gill claimed singles titles.

Harris, who won the first ITF singles title of his career in Sozopol in early October, has since reached four further finals, including three in a row in Antalya, where he has collected his second and third career titles over the past month.

The 26-year-old’s latest triumph came in a three-set victory over 17-year-old Frenchman Arthur Fils, the current junior world No. 5 and runner-up in the boys’ singles event at Roland Garros this June.

Broom, who won his first ITF singles title in Ithaca, USA, in early October, added the gloss to a promising few months (that also included semi-final finishes at M15 Fayetteville and M15 Heraklion in November) with his second career title and first on Greek soil.

The 23-year-old overcame fellow Brits Adam Jones and Pinnington Jones for the loss of just two games apiece in the early rounds, ultimately journeying to the title without dropping a set.

For Parker, Monastir again proved a happy hunting ground. The Tunisian city was the scene of his first two ITF singles titles in February, and again proved a successful backdrop as he defeated Frenchman Ugo Blanchet 6-2 6-4 for his third hard court crown.

Felix Gill might have provided a fourth male British winner for the week, but the 19-year-old was denied a second straight tournament victory by Jose Fco. Vidal Azorin, of Spain, who won their M15 Cairo final in an emphatic straight sets.

There were also wins over the weekend for Johannes Ingildsen, of Denmark, Fancisco Comesana, of Argentina, and Nam Hoang Ly, of Vietnam, with the latter claiming his third title in his last four tournament appearance with victory at M15 Cancun.
