Former junior world No. 11 Alvaro Lopez San Martin improved his winning streak on the ITF World Tennis Tour to 13 consecutive matches after claiming his second title in a row on Spanish clay.

The 23-year-old Spanish qualifier overcame Martin Cuevas 2-6 6-1 6-4 in the final at M15 Valldoreix over the weekend to add to his triumph in Gran Canaria at the turn of the month.

A former Wimbledon boys’ singles quarter-finalist, grass-court fan Lopez San Martin is building quite a record on clay courts, with his latest triumph becoming his ninth clay court title.

Elsewhere, Yunseong Chung ended a three-year wait for silverware after claiming the title at M15 Monastir.

The 23-year-old Korean, whose only previous ITF title triumphs came in back-to-back hard court victories on home soil in June 2018, defeated home favourite Aziz Dougaz 6-1 7-5 in the title match in Tunisia.

American Zane Khan continued his breakthrough year on the ITF World Tennis Tour after claiming his third professional title – just over two months after winning his first.
Nineteen-year-old Khan defeated Edan Leshem 6-3 6-4 to win M15 Jerusalem and add to his two wins at M15 events in India in early March.

There were also triumphs for Dominican Nick Hardt, who won at M15 Antalya, Manuel Guinard, who won at M25 Prague, Bosnian Aldin Setkic, who prevailed on home soil at M15 Prijedor, and Germany’s Elmar Ejupovic, who also won at home at M15 Troisdorf.

Nine tournaments are taking place on the ITF World Tennis Tour this week, including three at M25 level in USA, Spain and Czech Republic. Follow all the latest here.
