Jana's feat of clay: Fett claims biggest title yet at W100 Oeiras
Jana Fett is having quite the month on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
After beginning April with her most significant title in nine years at W75 Split, the 27-year-old Croatian closed the month with the biggest title of her career on Portuguese clay at W100 Oeiras.
And she did so in emphatic fashion, thumping Panna Udvardy 6-0 6-2 in the final for her ninth career title.
“I feel wonderful," said Fett in her post match press conference. "I played a great match. Panna is an excellent player. I expected it to be tough and maybe it doesn’t seem that way when you look at the result, but I had to play each point at my best, otherwise it wouldn’t have been like this."

Fett recording three bagels during the week in a hugely positive run that should see her climb back into the world’s top 130 at the next WTA ranking update (following this week’s event in Madrid).
Fett is a former top 100 player, having climbed as high as No. 97 in October 2007.
Australian Maddison Inglis also recorded the biggest triumph of her career this weekend, defeating Ena Shibahara 6-4 3-6 6-2 to win the title at W100 Tokyo.
Inglis, a former world No. 112 but the current world No. 305, is set for a significant jump of around 90 places when the rankings are updated next week.

There was also a notable triumph for former world No. 58 Louisa Chirico, who won her first title in two years at the scene of her last - at W75 Charlottesville.
The 27-year-old American, who didn't compete between August 2019 and May 2021 due to injury and is still on the comeback trail at No. 283 in the world, won her sixth ITF singles crown overall after beating compatriot Kayla Day 6-1 7-5 in the final.
It was the perfect way to bounce back for Chirico, a former junior world No. 6, following a tricky run in which she had lost seven of her previous eight matches.
It was also a good week for 15-year-old Brit Mika Stojsavljevic, who claimed her first professional victory at W35 Nottingham.
In her 10th professional event, Stojsavljevic defeated Julie Belgraver - six years her senior - in straight sets in the final.
