The majestic and meteoric rise of Czech Republic’s Sara Bejlek continued as she claimed her third title of an increasingly productive season with victory on home soil at W60 Olomouc.

Bejlek was utterly dominant, requiring just three sets on one occasion, instigating a comeback victory over Turkey’s Cagla Buyukakcay in the first round, before progressing to the final where she dispatched Lina Gjorcheska of North Macedonia.

By conquering all before her, the 16-year-old, who was part of the victorious Czech Republic team at the 2021 Junior Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals in Antalya, defended the title she secured on the clay of Olomouc 12 months ago.

Her latest triumph added to the silverware she sealed at W60 Ceska Lipa in June and M25 Santa Margherita di Pula in May, form which saw her break the top 200 of the WTA rankings earlier this month. In short, it has been a thoroughly impressive campaign for the teenager.

Elsewhere, there was also a third ITF World Tennis Tour title of the campaign for Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima, who topped the podium at W60 Nur-Sultan, while there were also significant milestones for American Ashlyn Krueger and Jessika Ponchet of France.

Krueger claimed the first ITF World Tennis Tour Women's title of her career with victory in Indiana at W60 Evansville, while Ponchet notched the biggest triumph of her career with success at W60 Vitoria-Gasteiz.

There was also notable success for Canada’s Victoria Mboko. Fresh from reaching the semi-finals at the Junior Championships, Wimbledon, Mboko claimed her maiden ITF World Tennis Tour success at W25 Saskatoon.

Indonesia’s Priska Madelyn Nugroho, meanwhile, who has been a member of the Grand Slam Player Development Programme/ITF Touring Team previously, followed suit by topping the podium at W15 Monastir.
