Continental Cup brings beach tennis generations together in São Paulo
The inaugural Continental Cup gets underway in São Paulo today, bringing together the past, present and future of beach tennis in a new three-day team competition.
Taking place from 1-3 October at MAVSA Resort, Team Rest of the World will take on Team South America, with each side featuring 16 players across three generations: eight professionals, four 18 and under players and four legends.
Players from all three groups will compete throughout the event, contesting singles, doubles and mixed doubles. There are 40 points available across the competition, with all matches played as fast-paced 21-point tie-break shoot-outs. The first team to reach 21 points will be crowned Continental Cup champions.

Team Rest of the World features established professionals including Antomi Ramos, Gabriele Gini, Elizaveta Kudinova and Flaminia Daina, alongside rising 18-and-under talent and legends including Alessandro Calbucci, Satoshi Goda and Federica Bacchetta.
They will face Team South America, featuring professionals Daniel Mola, Felipe Cogo Loch, Sophia Chow and Vitoria Marchezini, as well as emerging players and legends including Vinicius Font, Guilherme Prata, Joana Cortez and Flavia Muniz.
Beyond the competition, junior activations and coach education will also take place, supporting the continued growth of the beach tennis ecosystem.
