Ones to watch: 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals
With the dust settling on the 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals, now is the time to consider some of the players who performed well and may be ones to watch going forward.
It is important to say that more than 10 players impressed during a week of fabulous tennis which saw Switzerland crowned boys’ champions and Italy triumph in the girls’ event.
This list is very much subjective but maybe worth bookmarking for the future given how many of today’s top stars competed in the competition during the early stages of their careers.
Conversely, impressing at these Finals is no guarantee of future success and there is a long way to go for all players on show at the Finals in respect of forging a professional career.

That said, all players will have benefitted hugely from the experience. In many cases, these Finals will have been a player’s first experience of international team competition. Here are our 10 ‘ones to watch’.
Srishti Kiran (IND)
Clearly a classy player, Kiran won all six of her singles matches in straight sets, including a showdown with Italy’s Olivia Conticello during the group stage. Italy and Conitcello went on to win the girls’ event, showcasing how impressive a win this was for Kiran.
Novak Palombo (AUS)
His first name would suggest he is well set for a career at the top level, although there is most certainly substance to go with the Djokovic link. Palombo stood out in the boys’ event and won all six singles matches he contested. Impressive.
Mariia Kocherzhenko (UKR)
Kocherzhenko was playing as the No. 1 player for her nation, meaning she was coming up against the higher-ranked player within opposing teams. Despite this, she was another to win all six of the singles matches she contested – at times showing plenty of grit to do so.
Richard Mitchell (SUI)
Chalked up a number of key victories as Switzerland were crowned boys’ champions, not least in the final. Switzerland were staring down the barrel of defeat – they trailed 1-0 in the tie – before Mitchell recovered from a set down in the tie's second singles match to begin a heroic comeback.

Isha Manchala (USA)
The United States tend to arrive at the Finals with strong teams – their girls conquered all before them in 2025. Given the power the United States possess, their No.1 player is likely to catch the eye and Manchala most certainly did that. She returned five victories from as many singles matches.
Dante Monte (BRA)
Brazil more than played their part in an enthralling Finals and were close to winning their nation’s first title in this competition – across both boys’ and girls’ events. Monte was a big part of that – and he knows how to celebrate. He won five of his six singles matches.
Olivia Conticello (ITA)
A major part of the reason why Italy were crowned girls’ champions for the first time in the history of the competition. Conticello returned an 8-2 win-loss record across singles and doubles as Italy lifted silverware. She had an excellent week.
Nanato Agui (JPN)
While Japan’s boys have enjoyed more productive Finals in terms of final placings – they finished ninth here – Agui was a highly consistent performer, winning five of his six singles matches, and showed considerable promise.
Giulia Luchetti (ITA)
Italian duo Luchetti and Conticello were a formidable duo for opposing nations to contend with at the Finals. Luchetti was flawless, returning a highly impressive 9-0 win-loss record across singles and doubles. She is a big character too.
Soulaimane Jamji (MAR)
A fine week’s work from Jamji, who won four of the six singles matches he contested and carried the Moroccan fight to their opponents each and every occasion he took to the court. Worthy of a sizeable mention.
