Serbia’s Teodora Kostovic took another major step by claiming the biggest title of her career so far at W100 Amstetten.

As a reminder, W100s are the highest classification of tournament on the World Tennis Tour, reflecting the prize money and ranking points on offer as well as the strength of the field.

W100 Amstetten was the 19-year-old’s second World Tennis Tour title having triumphed at W75 Kursumlijska Banja in August 2025 and it sees Kostovic rise to a career-high No. 146 in the WTA Rankings.

We highlighted Kostovic during The Championships, Wimbledon last month after she navigated qualifying to set up a first-round showdown with world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka. While the showdown ended in defeat, what a way to make your Grand Slam main draw debut.

Kostovic, who made her Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge debut in 2025, is one of many players to have reached financial assistance to help with her ongoing development through the Grand Slam Player Development Programme.

Th financial support came in the form of Grand Slam Player Grants, which are financed by the four Grand Slams with World Tennis modelling determining the players are selected. Kostovic is a three-time recipient with support totalling $75,000.

Furthermore, every year World Tennis selects talented players from developing tennis nations to join Grand Slam Player Development Programme Touring Teams. Those players then travel as a team and have access to high-performance coaches.

The Touring Team programme provides crucial support for talented players who might otherwise be unable to compete at the level they do. It also enables opportunities that financial constraints may otherwise prevent.

Kostovic was a member of a Touring Team on a couple of occasions, most notably to Europe in 2024 when she reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon’s Junior Championships.
