Overview

The Beach Tennis World Team Championship (set to be re-named the Beach Tennis World Cup in 2021) is a mixed competition in which nations compete against each other as a team. Each team is comprised of two men and two women, with ties consisting of a men’s doubles, women’s doubles and a mixed doubles match.

The Russian Tennis Federation has been the host to the Tour's flagship team competition since its inception in 2012. The 2015 championship was the first to feature a junior event, introducing a new generation to team competition.

Brazil retained their ITF Beach Tennis World Team Championship title in 2019 after beating Russia 2-1.

The Italian juniors also made a successful defence of their title and did so without the loss of a match, including a 2-0 defeat of Brazil in the final to end the South Americans hopes of a clean sweep at the 2019 event.
