Brazilian Gabriela Ce ended a three-year wait for silverware on the ITF World Tennis Tour with a home-soil triumph at W15 Curitiba.

The 28-year-old collected her first title since September 2018 - and 11th career ITF singles crown overall - after compatriot Thaisa Grana Pedretti retired just three games into their title match.

Ce, who has ranked as high as No. 221 but currently sits at No. 290 in the world, was one of three players to end a three-year ITF title drought over the weekend.

Indian Pranjala Yadlapalli, Italian Angelica Moratelli and Romanian Arina Gabriela Vasilescu also collected singles wins for the first time since 2018, with Yadlapalli winning on home soil at W15 Bengaluru, Moratelii clinching the title at W15 Lousada in Portugal, and Vasilescu prevailing at W15 Antalya.

Briton Sara Beth Grey, a prolific collector of titles in ITF doubles events (with 16 to her name), secured a milestone first singles victory at W25 Jablonec nad Nisou. The 26-year-old lefthander won seven matches to take the title, coming through qualifying to defeat Finland's Anastasia Kulikova 6-2 6-2 in the final.

Israel’s Nicole Khirin and American pair Chanelle Van Nguyen and Pamela Montez also won their first ITF singles titles over the weekend, winning at W15 Heraklion, W15 Santo Domingo and W15 Cancun, respectively.

There were also wins for Ilona Georgiana Ghioroaie and 21-year-old Spaniard Rosa Vicens Mas, who both collected their third titles of the season at W15 Monastir and W15 Cairo, respectively, and China’s Yue Yuan, who won on Italian soil at W25 Selva Gardena.
