Udvardy ends three-year title drought at W75 Blois
Panna Udvardy's lengthy wait for her 13th career title ended on Saturday at W75 Blois after she beat Julie Belgraver 7-5 6-3 in the final.
Udvardy, the top seed in France last week, was made to work hard in her opening round clash - needing three sets to get past Astrid Lew Yan Foon. The early test certainly kicked the 26 year-old into gear, and she went on to win her remaining four matches without losing a set.
It was a triumphant return to the winner's circle for the Hungarian - whose last title came at WTA Buenos Aires 125k back in 2022. Her title in France was her 12th on the ITF World Tennis Tour - all of which have come on clay.
After dropping out of the top 150 in the WTA rankings at the start of June, the 13-time champion is already working her way back and currently sits at world No. 152.
