The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games have unveiled the tournament schedule for the Paralympic Tennis Event, with six wheelchair tennis events to be contested over the course of nine days of competition.

The eighth Paralympic Tennis Event will take place from Friday 28 August to Saturday 5 September, with medal matches in men’s, women’s and quad singles and doubles events to be decided during the last four days of competition at the newly renovated Ariake Tennis Park.

Medal matches will begin on Wednesday 2 September with the Quad Doubles Gold Medal match.

Thursday 3 September is set to bring the Quad Singles Gold Medal match and Bronze Medal matches in Quad Singles, Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles.

On the penultimate day of competition, Friday 4 September, the Women’s Singles and Men’s Doubles Gold Medal matches will be decided. The nine days of competition culminate with the Men’s Singles and Women’s Doubles Gold Medal matches on Saturday, 5 September.

The Ariake Tennis Park, which features a 10,000-seater centre court and which has hosted ATP and WTA tournaments since 1987, also hosted the 2016 BNP Paribas World Team Cup. The Tennis Park will form part of the Tokyo Bay Zone during the Paralympics.

Ticket prices for wheelchair tennis range from JPY1,800 to JPY6,500

Tokyo 2020 will start accepting applications from Japanese residents for the ticket lottery for all sessions, including the Opening and Closing ceremonies, on August 22.
