The countdown is on: One year to go to wheelchair tennis at Paris 2024
The countdown has begun to Paris 2024 with today, Wednesday 30 August, marking exactly one year to go to the start of the Paralympic Wheelchair Tennis Event.
The Paris 2024 Paralympics Games will be staged from 28 August – 8 September, with the wheelchair tennis event getting underway on 30 August and finishing on 7 September.
Paris 2024 is set to be the most spectacular Paralympics in history according to IPC President Andrew Parsons, given the world class sport, iconic venues and nature of the event as the first Games since the pandemic – following a hugely disrupted Tokyo 2020.
Tickets for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will go on sale from Monday 9 October 2023, with general admission for all 22 sports starting from 15 Euros.
In total there will be 2.8million tickets to sell on a first-come, first-served basis for the Paralympic Games and more than half of all tickets are priced at 25 Euros or less.
Around 4,400 para athletes from around 180 delegations are expected to compete at Paris 2024, with 549 medal events across the 22 sports – and many events, including the wheelchair tennis event at Roland Garros – taking place in the heart of the city.
