Teenage stars Korneeva and Pohankova win W75 titles
The top end of the women's ITF World Tennis Tour was dominated by rising stars last week.
Alina Korneeva won her eighth professional title at W75 Manama, defeating Fiona Ferro 6-4 6-0 in the final and dropping just one set all week.
Mia Pohankova won her second professional title at W75 Leszno after defeating Julia Avdeeva 6-3 6-2, also only dropping one set throughout the week.

Korneeva, who already has two W100 titles to her name, was a consistent winner on the World Tennis Tour in 2025.
The 18-year-old picked up three titles with two at W50 level and one at W75 level - and she's off to a great start this year with her second W75.
Her current WTA ranking is No. 167 - just under 40 spots away from her career-high of 128.
Given her fast start to the season, it would not be surprising if she surpasses this soon.

Pohankova is quickly proving that she has what it takes to succeed at the top level, possessing remarkable power and precision across her game.
The Slovakian 17-year-old won Junior Wimbledon last season, and has brought that form to the women's circuit.
She won her first professional title at W75 Bratislava in 2024, and with her focus seemingly all on the women's game now, we are highly likely to see her lift plenty more titles this season and beyond.

Pohankova's title in Poland now means that she is up to a career-high ranking of world No. 359.
