Katie Swan won her most significant title on the ITF World Tennis Tour in almost four years after reigning supreme at W75 Kurume in Japan.

Swan, whose last triumph at a $60,000 prize money tournament came at W60 Trnava in October 2022, has enjoyed a strong couple of weeks in Japan – winning back-to-back titles at W35 Fukuoka and now Kurume.

The 27-year-old Brit defeated world No. 285 Kyoka Okamura 7-5 6-1 in the Kurume final to improve to a 10-match winning streak, having lost just a solitary set – in a 2nd round battle against American Dalayna Hewitt – in the process.

Swan was contesting just her ninth tournament of the 2026 season. She has won 18 titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour overall – with this her joint-biggest – and third at the $60,000 prize money level.

Swan was joined in winning at W75 level on the World Tennis Tour this weekend by Claire Liu and Erika Andreeva, who both battled through testing finals.

Former world No. 52 Liu fought past Anna Siskova 6-7(0) 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in a thriller at W75 Trnava to claim her first title in two years and ninth professional singles crown overall.

Andreeva, meanwhile, equalled her biggest win yet with a 6-3 3-6 6-3 win over Germany’s Ella Seidel at W75 Zagreb. The 21-year-old qualifier, who has ranked as high as No. 65 in the world, had also won at W75 Hamburg last year, and now has five World Tennis Tour titles to her name.
