Samson continues to shine with latest title at W75 Trnava
Laura Samson is quickly proving herself as one of the game's brightest prospects.
The Czech 17-year-old won her first title of the season and seventh overall at W75 Trnava on Sunday, defeating compatriot Lucie Havlickova 6-4 6-2 in the final.
The rising star won her first W75 title last season, and she has quickly collected a second one in 2026.
She will no doubt be hoping to stand out amongst a remarkable crop of up and coming young Czech talents on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
Her latest result has seen her move up the WTA rankings to a career-high of world No. 172, as well as making her debut inside the top 200.
It will be fascinating to see where the talented teenager can go from here this season.

Elsewhere, Anouk Koevermans won her first title since August 2024 at W75 Porto, after Harriet Dart was forced to retire trailing 6-2 1-0 in the final.
The Dutch 22-year-old's win moves her up to a new career-high ranking of No. 154 - just on the outskirts of the WTA top 150.
