Ruse wins first title in four years at W75 Trnava
Gabriela Ruse won her first title in over four years at W75 Trnava on Sunday after defeating Lucie Havlickova 5-7 6-4 6-0 in the final.
The Romanian 28-year-old, whose last title came at WTA Hamburg 250 in July 2021, finally got her hands on a trophy again last weekend.
This return to the winners circle marked her eighth career title overall, seventh on the ITF World Tennis Tour and first at W75 level.
A hugely positive week for Ruse sees her rise back into the WTA top 100 to world No. 85 - which bodes very well with the Australian Open approaching in the near future.
This will no doubt give Ruse worlds of confidence heading into the 2026 season.

As well as this, rising Australian star Emerson Jones claimed her second title of the year at W75 Playford by getting the better of compatriot Maddison Inglis 6-4 6-4 in Sunday's final. She did not drop a set all week.
