Holger Vitus Nodskov Rune continued his strong start to 2021, claiming his fourth professional crown on the ITF World Tennis Tour with victory on French soil at M15+H Bressuire.

Rune defeated local hope Matteo Martineau 7-5 4-6 6-3 in the final to add to his title wins at M25 Klosters, M15 Valldoreix and M15 Antalya last year.

It was a second straight final appearance for the 17-year-old Dane, who finished runner-up at M15 Manacor the previous week. He climbs to a career-high ranking of No. 458 this week as a result of his triumph.

Meanwhile, Franco Agamenone collected his fifth career title – and first in over four years – after defeating Romanian Filip Cristian Jianu in the final at M15 Cairo.

The 27-year-old Italian won eight matches through the week after coming through qualifying to reach the final, where he defeated Jianu 7-6(0) 6-4 in the title decider.

Fellow Italian qualifier Giovanni Fonio won his second ITF crown in Antalya – a year after claiming his first at the same venue – after Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo conceded a walkover ahead of their final.

There are just two men’s tournaments taking place on the ITF World Tennis Tour this week – M15 events in Cairo and Antalya. Follow all the latest results here.
