Hosted by the Italian Tennis Federation, the ITF’s flagship wheelchair team tennis event is being held in Sardinia for the second time since 2017.

The seeding for the men’s, women’s and quad events is based on the combined rankings of the top two singles players from each nation, using the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Ranking of 20 September 2021.

The seeding for the junior event, which is once again supported by the Johan Cruyff Foundation, is based on top two players from each nation using the boys’ and girls’ rankings of 20 September 2021 and is approved by the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Committee.

In the event that the combined rankings are the same for two different nations in any one event, the higher seeding is given to the nation with the highest-ranked individual player.

Following Sunday’s draw, three days of round-robin pool competition gets underway on Monday in three of the four events. The three days of round-robin competition in the junior event starts on Tuesday.

Thereafter, teams will contest semi-finals and knockout draws to decide final placings, with the women's and quad finals scheduled for Saturday and the men's and junior finals scheduled for Sunday.

The 2021 BNP Paribas World Team Cup will be live streamed internationally, including across ITF social media channels and ITFTennis.com.
