Preview: 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals
The 2026 World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals get underway on Monday 3 August in Prostejov, Czechia.
Previously the World Junior Tennis Finals, our international team competition for players aged 14-and-under has evolved into the World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals following the International Tennis Federation’s rebrand to World Tennis.
Next week, 16 boys’ and 16 girls’ teams from around the world will battle to be crowned the world’s best in this age category.
Reaching this stage of the competition is already a huge achievement, which follows qualifying events in five regions – Asia/Oceania, Europe, Africa, South America and North/Central America and the Caribbean.
There are always intriguing storylines. Indonesia’s boys, for instance, will compete at the Finals for the first time since 2003, while it will be the first time a team from Indonesia has contested the Finals for nearly 20 years. Indonesia’s girls qualified in 2007.

The World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals are a real festival of junior tennis and a major developmental step for players as they continue their progression along the player pathway.
It is a tournament that reflects the World Tennis ethos: rackets in hands, playing opportunities and national player development, all part of a strong talent pathway.
For some, it will be their first taste of international competition, particularly in a team setting, and feeds into the World Tennis mission to provide opportunity all around the world.
Who knows what the future holds for the players that will take to the clay courts of Prostejov this year, but the competition has a rich history of being an important staging post in an aspiring player’s career.
The following names have all contested the World Tennis 14&U Junior Team Finals previously – it is quite the list!
Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Bianca Andreescu, Lorenzo Musetti, Katerina Siniakova, Juan Martin del Potro, Marketa Vondrousova, Alex de Minaur, Ash Barty, Felix Auger Aliassime, Frances Tiafoe, Linda Noskova, Mirra Andreeva, Elina Svitolina and Amanda Anisimova.
While a completely different group of players, France’s boys will enter the 2026 Finals as the defending champions after being crowned champions 12 months ago. It was their first title since 2005 and their fourth overall.
In last year's girls’ event, the United States came from behind to defeat Canada and claim their eighth title, placing them joint-top of the all-time list of winners alongside Czechia and Russia.
