Preston collects biggest title yet at W100 Tokyo
It was a fantastic week for Australia's Taylah Preston.
The 20-year-old claimed the title at W100 Tokyo - her biggest win to date - as well as her first of the season.
Preston defeated top seed Lanlana Tararudee 6-1 4-6 6-4 in a well fought final, with Tararudee being the only player all week to take a set off the champion.
Preston, who is a former junior No. 10, has kicked on brilliantly in her professional career.
She has now amassed eight titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour, winning three W35s in 2025.

Preston's latest title is undoubtedly an enormous step towards the top of the women's game.
She is currently ranked at world No. 148, but is expected to rise to inside the top 130 when the rankings update next after the Madrid Open.
This rise takes her even closer to the top 100, and she will be hoping to be in a position where she can qualify automatically for Grand Slams very soon.
In this rich vein of form, there is plenty of evidence which points towards that happening.

Elsewhere, Renata Zarazua won her first title of the season at W100 Charlottesville, defeating Martina Capurro Taborda 6-1 1-6 7-5 in the final.
The 28-year-old Mexican is now up to 12 career titles, with eight of these coming on the ITF World Tennis Tour and four at WTA 125K level.
Maria Timofeeva also won her first title of the year at W75 Chiasso, making it her first title since she started representing Uzbekistan.
