Marcinko reigns supreme at W100 Landisville

11 Aug 2025

Petra Marcinko won her second title of the season on Sunday at W100 Landisville, defeating Janice Tjen 7-6 3-6 6-4 in the final.

The 19-year-old Croatian came into the event fresh off of winning the biggest title of her career at WTA Rome 125 in July - and she kept up her winning ways in style.

With two straight titles and 10 consecutive match wins, it is clear that Marcinko is on an electric run of form.

Marcinko won the Junior Australian Open in 2022 and has kicked on with her professional career brilliantly since then with nine titles - eight of which have come on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

With five titles on clay and four on hard courts, Marcinko is quickly proving herself to be a multi-surface threat.

She now finds herself at a career-high ranking of world No. 113, and she will likely reach new heights with plenty of tennis left to be played this season.

Elsewhere, Sinja Kraus won her third title of the season at W75 Amstetten, winning the all-Austrian final with rising star Lilli Tagger 6-2 6-4.

The Austrian 23-year-old has now won twelve titles on the World Tennis Tour, and is at a new career-high ranking of world No. 131.
