Malaysia hails impact of SANDEVER beach tennis superkits

Tennis Malaysia development officer Zulkhairi Mohd Khir paid tribute to the ITF and Global Beach Tennis Development Partner SANDEVER for providing the beach tennis equipment used to introduce the sport to the nation.

Malaysia is one of 12 nations in Asia to have received a SANDEVER beach tennis superkit in 2020, which includes all the necessary equipment (one court, four paddles and six balls) to allow nations to start playing. So far 40 kits have been distributed around the world as part of the ITF's Beach Tennis Global Development Programme.

“It is extremely wonderful to receive such inspiring feedback from the participants on regards to this Beach Tennis event was very positive,” said Khir, adding: “With the sponsorship, we were able to conduct this interesting as an exposure to beach tennis in Malaysia.

“In future, we aim to organise such events and we are hopeful that our association will get stronger with time and be the top ranking players in Beach Tennis.

“On behalf of Tennis Malaysia, we extend our gratitude to ITF and SANDEVER for the sponsorship you have honoured us by sponsoring the beach tennis equipment. It was a great pleasure to receive the equipment from SANDEVER. We will certainly be happy to have your support in future endeavours.”

The ITF Beach Tennis Tour comprises over 300 tournaments in 37 countries, with the sport's flagship competitions including the ITF Beach Tennis World Championships and the ITF Beach Tennis World Cup, as well as regional Championships in Europe, Africa and the Americas.
