Living the American dream: Boitan seals third straight stateside title
Romania’s Gabi Adrian Boitan continued his blistering form to claim a third successive ITF World Tennis Tour clay-court title with victory at M15 Naples in the United States.
The 23-year-old has dropped just four sets during this impressive run which has seen him go from strength to strength, winning 15 straight matches during a highly productive spell in Florida.
Constanta-born Boitan topped the podium at M15 Palm Coast – his first professional title – and M15 Weston before his latest triumph at M15 Naples, a sequence which has catapulted him 181 places in the ATP Rankings.
Now standing at No. 565 in the world, Boitan is joint top of the list for most ITF World Tennis Tour Men’s match-wins in 2023, level with Sweden’s Dragos Nicolae Madaras, who has four titles to his name, on 20.
Elsewhere on the ITF World Tennis Tour Men’s, there were wins for France’s Lucas Poullain, Fausto Tabacco of Italy and Australian duo Alex Bolt and Tristan Schoolkate at M25 level.
