Lilli Tagger triumphs at W100 Fujairah

03 Feb 2026

It was another stunning week from Lilli Tagger on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The 17-year-old Austrian, who won her first three professional titles last season, has already started the year with her biggest title yet at W100 Fujairah.

She did not drop a set all week in an event with a stacked lineup - sweeping aside Teodora Kostovic, Chloe Paquet, Viktoria Hruncakova and Renata Zarazua before defeating Harriet Dart 6-4 6-2 in the final.

Tagger was named as part of the ITF Class of 2025 after a remarkable start to her professional career as well as winning Junior Roland-Garros.

As a result of her latest triumph, Tagger is now up to a career-high ranking of world No. 128.

Having been already tipped to go on to achieve big things in tennis, she is certainly on a rapid path to delivering on her potential.

Elsewhere, Elvina Kalieva won the biggest title of her career at W100 San Diego.

The 22-year-old American fought past a resurgent Jennifer Brady in the semi-finals before defeating Elizabeth Mandlik 3-6 6-3 6-1 in the final to claim her first title since June 2023, making an excellent start to the 2026 season.
