Korneeva captures third title of the season at W75 Bratislava
Alina Korneeva won her third title of the season at W75 Bratislava on Sunday, defeating Lucie Havlickova 7-6 7-5 in the final.
The 18-year-old, who won back-to-back titles at W50 Leiria and W50 Evora in September, claimed her biggest tournament of the season and 15th consecutive win on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
Though it was her best victory of the year, Korneeva has impressed on the World Tennis Tour for a number of years with seven titles won already and multiple at W100 and W75 level.
The rising star had a fantastic junior career, winning the Junior Australian Open, Junior Roland Garros and the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals in 2023.
Korneeva is clearly comfortable and full of confidence at pro level, and has wasted no time in getting up to speed.
Her career-high ranking is world No. 128 and she is inching closer to this - currently sitting at no. 164 in the WTA live rankings.
