ITF World Tennis Tour Player of the Month: Lucija Ciric Bagaric
Lucija Ciric Bagaric has been named ITF World Tennis Tour Player of the Month for February after winning two titles and extending her excellent, undefeated start to the season.
The 20-year-old Croatian played just two tournaments in February but won both – triumphing at back-to-back events on Tunisian clay at W35 Hammamet and dropping just one set in the process.
It follows her breakthrough victory at W35-level on a hard court in Monastir in January and, given that she reached the semi-finals (but gave a walkover) at the same venue the following week, means she is currently riding high on an 18-0 win-streak so far in 2024.

Ciric Bagaric, who has now won seven ITF singles titles overall, is the only woman to have collected as many as three singles titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour this season.
She is one of four players to win three ITF singles crowns in 2024 – along with Germany’s Daniel Masur, Czech Marek Gengel, and Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Popko.
Ciric Bagaric also comfortably heads the women’s field for the most match-wins on the ITF World Tennis Tour this year, with her 18-0 record putting her ahead of Belgian Marie Benoit (15-4) and Dalila Jakupovic (15-7).
As a result of her memorable month, Ciric Bagaric climbed 52 spots during February to a career-high No. 214 in the WTA rankings.
