ITF World Tennis Tour Player of the Month: Julia Grabher
Julia Grabher has been named ITF World Tennis Tour Player of the Month for April after a scintillating spell of tennis saw her capture three consecutive titles.
"I'm really happy with how the last few weeks went for me" said Grabher. "I think I finally proved that I am back after my very tough last one and a half years. I finally showed what I'm capable of."
It's been a fantastic return to form for Grabher, who underwent wrist surgery in 2023 and has been trying to get back to form since she returned to action.
"I think it's a result of very hard work from my team and myself and it's finally showing. I want to keep going, keep improving and do better every day."

The Austrian kicked off the month in dominant fashion, securing the title at W35 Santa Margherita di Pula without dropping a set. This was her first title of the season, and it started a sensational winning streak.
She then travelled to W75 Koper where she had to come through qualifying to compete in the main draw - which she came through with ease.
There was no stopping Grabher's momentum in the main draw either, and she blitzed her way to the title - once again without any sets lost.
On a 12-match winning streak (including qualifying) and 24 consecutive sets, Grabher headed for W75 Chiasso to keep the wins coming.
The Austrian's dominance only grew stronger here with another title won without a single set dropped. She also dished out two bagels and didn't lose more than four games in a set.
This remarkable run of form brought her up to 17 consecutive match wins and 34 sets in a row. She is currently competing at W100 Wiesbaden, and at the time of writing her streak is at 19.
It was a truly remarkable month for Julia Grabher, and she expressed her gratitude for being named Player of the Month: "I feel very honoured to receive this award so thank you for choosing me. I'm really happy about it."
The 28 year-old currently sits at 178 in the WTA rankings, and if she continues this form up then it'll only be a matter of time before she's right back where she belongs .
