ITF confirms Huzhou, China as host of 2025 Wheelchair Masters
The 2025 NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters will take place in Huzhou, Zhejiang, China, from 10-16 November, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced. This marks the first time the Wheelchair Masters will be held in the country.
The ITF has signed a hosting agreement with the CSCEC Huaxia (Beijing) Industrial Operation Management Co., Ltd., who will host the event at the newly opened Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center in Zhejiang Province - the largest indoor clay court facility in Asia - which was officially inaugurated by Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi in March 2025.
China Open Training Pro (COTP), professional organisers of international tennis in China, will serve as the official promoter of the event. A formal ceremony took place at the ITF headquarters in Roehampton on Friday 4 July to recognise the contributions of both organisations, notably the efforts of Mr Yun Chuan, successfully introducing this event to China for the first time, and of the Enrique Esteire Perla in Memoriam Association which has played a key role to facilitate the burgeoning partnership.
China’s profile in wheelchair tennis has grown significantly over the last 12 months, highlighted by Guo Luoyao and Wang Ziying’s bronze medal in women’s doubles at Paris 2024 - the nation’s first Paralympic wheelchair tennis medal. Wang and compatriot Li Xiaohui, who together won the 2025 Australian Open and 2025 Wimbledon Women’s Wheelchair Doubles title, are currently ranked inside the world’s top five in singles and are strong contenders for qualification for the 2025 Masters. At the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Wang Ziying won the singles championship, once again making a historical breakthrough for Chinese wheelchair tennis.

The NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters serve as the season-ending events of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, showcasing the world’s top men’s, women’s and quad singles and doubles players. The ITF remains committed to harnessing the power of tennis to improve lives through wheelchair tennis and expand opportunities for people with disabilities worldwide.
ITF President David Haggerty said: "Bringing the Wheelchair Masters to China is a significant milestone in our ambition to grow the sport globally. We are grateful to CSCEC Huaxia (Beijing) Industrial Operation Management Co., Ltd. and COTP for their commitment to hosting the event, to NPC China and CDPF for their support, and to the Enrique Esteire Perla in Memoriam Association for helping bring this partnership together. The new Huzhou venue is world-class, and we believe this event can serve as a springboard for the next generation of wheelchair tennis players in China and across Asia.”
China Open (China Open Promotions Ltd.) said: “Through our COTP program, we are committed to developing the next generation of Chinese tennis talent across the country, aiming to become a premium brand and service provider in tennis training while fostering professional talent in both Beijing and China as a whole. Hosting the 2025 Wheelchair Tennis Masters is a tremendous honour and aligns perfectly with our mission to grow the sport at all levels. We’re proud to bring such a prestigious and inclusive event to China, celebrating the highest level of athleticism and determination.”
CSCEC Huaxia (Beijing) Industrial Operation Management Co., Ltd. said: “Hosting the 2025 Wheelchair Tennis Masters at the Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center, a world-class facility with a 5,000-seat main stadium and a 2,000-seat secondary court, is a historic milestone for tennis in China. Through the unique charm of clay tennis, Huzhou will continue to elevate China’s influence and status on the international tennis stage.
