Italy confirmed as host for the 2026 ITF Masters World Championships

26 Aug 2025

Italy has been confirmed as the fifth host nation for the 2026 ITF World Tennis Masters World Championships, with Rome set to stage the 50+ and 55+ age categories.

The 50+ and 55+ World Team Championships will take place from 5-10 July 2026, followed by the World Individual Championships from 11-18 July 2026 – hosted by the Federazione Italiana Tennis e Padel.

The events will be played on red clay across four prestigious venues in the Italian capital.

This marks a welcome return for Italy, which last hosted the ITF Masters World Championships in 1996, also in Rome, when the city staged the Men’s 35+ World Team Championships. Thirty years on, Rome will once again welcome the world’s best ITF Masters players, underlining the nation’s strong heritage in the sport and its reputation as a destination city for international competition.

The full line-up of 2026 host nations for the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour World Championships will see Portugal, Türkiye, Japan, Greece, and Italy welcoming players across the various age categories, following a highly competitive bidding process overseen by the ITF Masters Committee.

The selection reflects the continued growth of the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour and the rising global demand to stage World Championship events.
