Entries announced for 2025 Wheelchair Tennis Masters events in China

21 Oct 2025

The ITF has updated the entries for the 2025 NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters.

The world’s top wheelchair tennis players will take to the courts at the newly opened Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center in Zhejiang Province - the largest indoor clay court facility in Asia - from 10-17 November, marking the first time China has hosted the prestigious event.

The ITF has signed a hosting agreement with the CSCEC Huaxia (Beijing) Industrial Operation Management Co., Ltd., and is  grateful to have the opportunity of hosting the event at such a world-class facility as the Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center.

The NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters serve as the season-ending events of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, showcasing the world’s top eight men’s, women’s and quad division singles players and the world's top doubles partnerships.

Following the withdrawal of men's doubles team Robin Groenewoud and Maarten Ter Hofte, alternates Anthony Dittmar and Christoph Wilke of Germany will contest the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters for the second year in a row.

China’s profile in wheelchair tennis has continued to grow significantly since Guo Luoyao and Wang Ziying’s bronze medal in women’s doubles at Paris 2024 - the nation’s first Paralympic wheelchair tennis medal.

Wang and compatriot Li Xiaohui, are currently ranked inside the world’s top five in singles and are the world's top two ranked women's doubles players after winning three of the four Grand Slam women's wheelchair doubles titles this season, at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. At the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, Wang Ziying also won the singles championship, once again making a historical breakthrough for Chinese wheelchair tennis.

Wang, Li and Zhu Zhenzhen currently occupy three of three of the top four places in the women's doubles rankings and are among a record six Chinese players to be among the entries for the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters and UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters this year.

Rankings quoted are as of the entry cut-off date of 29 September 2025.
