Matej Dodig won his fifth ITF World Tennis Tour singles title on Sunday, at M15 Rovinj on clay in his native Croatia.

Dodig, 18, became the fourth Croatian man to win five ITF World Tennis Tour singles titles as a teenager.

He joins former world No. 3 Ivan Ljubicic, 2022 Cincinnati Open champion Borna Coric, and 2023 Roland Garros boys’ singles champion and rising Tour-level star Dino Prizmic in the achievement.

Dodig did not drop a set en route to the title, defeating No. 1 seed Jay Clarke 7-6(4) 6-4 in the final.

He won his first professional title at Rovinj in March last year, just one week after making his debut in men’s competition.

Dodig has reached the final at his last three events, finishing as runner-up and winning the title at back-to-back M15 events in Monastir, Tunisia, in February.

His title at Rovinj takes him to a 10-match win streak, with 17 wins in his last 19 matches on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Dodig sits at No. 422 in the ATP rankings, one spot off his career-high from earlier this month.

Elsewhere, Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Popko won on the clay at M25 Feira de Santana in Brazil, his fourth title in his last six events.

Portugal’s Jaime Faria won at home on the hard courts at M25 Vale do Lobo, his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Popko and Faria jointly lead the men’s ITF World Tennis Tour for singles titles in 2024 with four each.

Popko also leads in singles match-wins with 28 wins and just one loss in 2024.

Faria, 20, is now the fourth Portuguese man to win six or more ITF World Tennis Tour singles titles aged under 21.

He joins Frederico Ferreira Silva, Fred Gil, and ITF World Tennis Tour Class of 2023 member Henrique Rocha.

Rocha won more than 60 matches and claimed six singles titles on the ITF World Tennis Tour in 2023.

American Brandon Holt won in his native California at M25 Bakersfield, his first title since 2022, while Alex Bolt defeated Luke Saville in an all-Australian final on the grass at M25 Mildura, in Australia.
