Bolt6 Completes Evaluation for Live Electronic Line-Calling Systems
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) announces that Bolt6 Sentinel has, following rigorous testing, met the criteria set by an Evaluation Committee comprising representatives of the ITF, ATP, WTA and Grand Slam tournaments for use as a Live (real-time) electronic line-calling (ELC) system on hard courts.
Although the Committee has reached the conclusion of its evaluation process with Bolt6, it recommends, as with all ELC systems, that stadium-specific testing is conducted prior to implementation at a tournament.
Stuart Miller, ITF Senior Executive Director of Integrity & Legal, said: “This result reflects the hard work put in by both Bolt6 and the Evaluation Committee. We would like to thank Bolt6, the professional tours and tournaments for supporting the evaluation process.”
Steve Carter, Bolt6 CEO, said: “Our appreciation goes to the ITF and the Evaluation Committee for their continued support. Due to this collaboration, we are proud to become the first provider to launch directly to Live ELC and the only cloud-based provider. I feel very humble to represent the team of talented and dedicated people responsible for this”.
