Auger Aliassime and Andreescu triumph as Canada seal Hopman Cup glory
Felix Auger Aliassime and Bianca Andreescu held their nerve during a deciding doubles showdown to propel Canada to their maiden Hopman Cup title at the expense of hosts Italy in Bari.
Auger Aliassime and Andreescu defeated Lucia Bronzetti and Flavio Cobolli 6-3 6-3 to seal victory for Canada, adding to their Davis Cup triumph in 2022 and their Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge success a year later.

Andreescu had earlier fired Canada into a 1-0 lead following the opening singles match of the tie, dispatching Bronzetti 6-2 6-3 to leave her nation on the brink of victory. The baton subsequently passed to Auger Aliassime.
A Canadian victory looked a distinct possibility after Auger Aliassime claimed the opening set, only for Cobolli to come storming back to level matters in the second before taking the tiebreak 10-8.

That ensured the clash went the distance with both nations bidding for their first Hopman Cup titles. However, it was Auger Aliassime and Andreescu who delivered when it mattered, teaming up to great effect to seal the win.
