2026 BNP Paribas World Team Cup Regional Qualifications set to begin
The first two of four BNP Paribas World Team Cup Regional Qualifications for 2026 take place from 2-6 March, as Colombo, Sri Lanka, hosts the Asian Qualification and Lima, Peru hosts the Americas Qualification, with a total of 33 teams from 20 countries represented across both events.
BNP Paribas World Team Cup Asian Qualification
Fourteen teams from eight countries will contest men’s and women’s competitions at the Asian Qualification in Sri Lanka, where world No. 2 Li Xiaohui and world No. 5 Wang Ziying are selected to represent the Chinese women’s team.
Korea Republic’s world No. 19 Ho Won Im is the highest ranked of the players nominated for the men’s event.

BNP Paribas World Team Cup Americas Qualification
A Korea Republic team consisting of two players will also be in action in Lima, where the BNP Paribas World Team Cup Americas Qualification will host a combined qualification event for quad teams from the Americas and Asian regions.
Five teams of quad division players from the Americas will line up alongside three teams of quad division players from Asia in Lima, where qualification draws will be contested for men’s, women’s and quad teams.
Argentina’s world No. 7 Gonzalo Lazarte will be the highest ranked player in the quad draw in Lima, where world No. 8 Francisco Cayulef will be the second highest ranked quad player, representing 2024 Quad World Group champions Chile.
A total of 19 teams representing 12 countries will contest the three qualification competitions in Lima, with Canada’s world No. 34 Thomas Venos the highest ranked of the nominated men’s players and world No. 18 Macarena Cabrillana of Chile the highest ranked of the players selected among the women’s teams.
