The 55-60 ITF Masters World Team Championships is reaching its climax after the round-robin group stage revealed the teams going for gold in Portugal.

The Women's 60 Alice Marble Cup looks extremely close. A number of big teams, including defending champions Germany, are in the mix for the title. Home favourites Portugal face a tough task today against the defending gold medallists, while Australia, USA, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Canada also feature in the knockout stages.

Both of last year's finalists are in contention for the 2023 Women's 55 Maureen Connolly CupSpain and Italy progressed comfortably from the round robin group stage to compete against Ireland and the Netherlands respectively. Germany, France, South Africa and the USA make up the quarter-finals.

The USA are the reigning world champions in both men's events this year. The 2022 gold medallists will face stiff competition today against a strong Netherlands team in the Men's 55 Austria Cup, while Germany face France in a battle of the European heavyweights. Canada make another appearance in the latter stages of the Teams competition, playing Italy, while Belgium and Denmark go head to head in the remaining quarter-final.

Canada will hope to cause an upset in the Men's 60 Von Cramm Cup, as they line up against defending champions the USA in a North American clash. In the other quarter-final matches today, Australia represent the rest of the world in an otherwise all-European roster. The Aussies face a tough task against one of the favourites, Italy, while France play Germany in a repeat of the M55 quarter-final. Great Britain play Sweden to complete the draw.
