18-year-old Xu wins W100 Wrexham
Mimi Xu won the biggest title of her career on Sunday at W100 Wrexham, defeating compatriot and fellow teen Mika Stojsavjevic 6-3 7-5 in the final.
The British 18-year-old, who competed at both Junior Wimbledon and in the main draw at SW19 this year, took a big step forward in her promising career last week.
This was just her second title at professional level after claiming her first at W35 Aldershot last year.
Xu was dominant throughout the week in doubles as well as singles, securing the title with Ella McDonald.
The Wrexham final saw plenty of high quality exchanges with huge hitting from both Xu and 16-year-old Stojsavjevic - providing a very exciting glimpse into the future of British women's tennis.
Xu is now up to a career-high of world No. 269 in the WTA rankings.

Elsewhere, Petra Marcinko continued her sensational 2025 with a third title of the season at W100 Tyler, where she defeated Mary Stoiana 6-3 6-0 in the final.
The Croatian 19-year-old has taken a considerable leap this year - winning her first ever WTA 125K event as well as two W100s.
Marcinko could well be one to watch heading into 2026.
