14 Sep 2009 - ITF 2 Series, NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour - Cesenatico, Italy
Cattaneo and Sevenans lift Cesenatico titles
Frederic Cattaneo (FRA) and Annick Sevenans (BEL) won the men's main draw and women's singles titles at the Cesenatico Open, part of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, which ended in victory for the Frenchman on Sunday in Italy.

Top seed Cattaneo had to battle hard for his fifth title of 2009, but won the important points at the right time to prevail 63 46 63 over third seed Cazeaudumec.

Sevenans clinched her second women's singles title of 2009 during Saturday's penultimate day of the ITF 2 Series event.

Second seed Sevenans avenged last month's third set tiebreak loss to Katharina Kruger (GER) in the final of the Salzburg Open to win her first ITF 2 Series title of the season, the Belgian world No. 10 prevailing 75 60.

Later in the day Sevenans and Kruger were on the same side of the net as the top seeds beat Marianna Lauro (ITA) and Ilanit Fridman (ISR) 72 76(5) in the women's doubles final.

In the men's main draw singles semifinals, Cazeaudumec proved too strong for Friday's last-gasp quarterfinal victor and second seed Piotr Jaroszewski (POL). Cazeaudumec's 61 46 63 victory over Jaroszweski set up a head-to-head with Cattaneo in Sunday's final, Cattaneo staying on course his fifth title of 2009 after beating third seed Jozef Felix (SVK) 64 61.

However, despite earning their places in the singles final, Cattaneo and Cazeaudumec had to be content with runners-up honours in the all-French men's main draw doubles final as fourth seeds David Dalmasso and Lahcen Majdi upset them 64 61.
