Martin Legner (AUT) brought the curtain down on the 10th Sardinia Open, part of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, on Saturday with a thrilling three set win over Stefan Olsson (SWE) in the men's main draw singles final in Alghero.
Meanwhile, Sharon Walraven (NED) and Johan Andersson lifted the women's and quad titles.
Winner of the first two Sardinia Opens in 2000 and 2001, and runner-up five times since, second seed Legner made the most of his vast experience to edge top seed Olsson 62 46 75, collecting his third NEC Tour title of the season and his second in successive weeks.
Walraven went one better than when she was top seed for the women's singles at the 2008 Sardinia Open, beating third seed Katharina Kruger (GER) 63 62 in Saturday's final to earn her first singles title of the 2009 NEC Tour.
Andersson retained his quad singles title at the ITF 1 Series event, the top seed winning his final against fourth seed Sarah Hunter (CAN) 62 64 to seal his second singles title of the current season.
Despite seeing his singles title defence end in Friday's semifinals, Nicolas Peifer (FRA) leaves Sardinia with one title under his belt after partnering Legner to win the men's main draw doubles final. The top seeds rarely looked in trouble against second seeds Joachim Gerard (BEL) and Piotr Jaroszewski (POL) and went on to record a comfortable 63 61 victory.
The women's doubles title also went to the top seeds, with Jiske Griffioen (NED) also making up for a surprise quarterfinal loss in defence of her singles title.
Griffioen paired up with her compatriot Marjolein Buis to beat the Swiss second seeds, Karin Suter-Erath and Parmila Grangier 63 76(3).
