The top two seeds will meet in the men's and women's singles finals on Sunday at the Pensacola Open, a part of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour, with third seed Noam Gershony of Israel also set to play defending champion and world No. 1 Peter Norfolk in the quad singles final at the Roger Scott Tennis Centre.

World No. 1 Maikel Scheffers, who was a quarterfinalist in Pensacola last year, came through his second successive three set match when he defeated his fellow Dutchman and fourth seed Ronald Vink 46 64 61 in his semifinal.

With a French player also guaranteed to be in the final, world No. 2 Stephane Houdet maintained his hopes of retaining his Pensacola Open title when he won a roller coaster of a semifinal to beat third seed Nicolas Peifer 06 60 62.

World No. 1 Esther Vergeer is within one match of winning her first tournament in her new tennis wheelchair after extending her winning streak to 447 singles matches. Vergeer powered past young Japanese eighth seeds Yui Kamiji 60 60 and will now play world No. 2 Aniek van Koot in the all-Dutch final.

Van Koot proved too strong and consistent for fourth seed Marjolein Buis to win her semifinal 62 61.

Norfolk moved to within one match of a successful title defence after beating fellow Brit Jamie Burdekin in his semifinal. Burdekin led the second set 5-3 before Norfolk put together four games in row to wrap up a 60 75 victory.

Meanwhile, Gershony beat world No. 2 David Wagner of USA 26 75 (7-4) in the other semifinal and the Israeli world No. 3 will now play Norfolk for the third time this season, with both players having won one of their 2012 contests apiece.

Nether top seeded partnership will contest the men's doubles final. Fourth seeds Michael Jeremiasz of France and Gordon Reid of Great Britain defeated Dutch top seeds Robin Ammerlaan and Ronald Vink 64 63 in their semifinal, but there will be Dutch representation in the final after third seeds Tom Egberink and Scheffers beat French second seeds Houdet and Nicolas Peifer 64 61.

There will be an all-Dutch women's doubles final as top seeds Vergeer and Sharon Walraven take on second seeds Jiske Griffioen and van Koot.

Burdekin and Norfolk will play top seeds Nick Taylor and Wagner in the quad doubles final.
