USA - Althea Gibson Cup Winners 2006
The Althea Gibson Cup for women players in the 70 age category was inaugurated in Florida in 1998. The trophy was donated by the United States Tennis Association, in honour of their renowned former player.



Althea Gibson won the US Open singles title in 1957 and 1958; the French Open title in 1956 and the Wimbledon Championships title in 1957 and 1958, together with five Grand Slam doubles titles.



Results from the 2006 event played at Club Ali Bey, in Antalya, Turkey, can be found below.



The USA team successfully defended their title in 2006 defeating the French team in the final.



In 2007, USA won again at Hagley Park Tennis Cup in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The 2008 event will be staged in Antalya, Turkey.
