USA, Margaret Court Cup Winners 2006
Margaret Court (nee Smith) became the second woman to achieve the Grand Slam by winning all four of the major championships – Australian, French, Wimbledon and US - in 1970, having also achieved a mixed doubles grand slam with Ken Fletcher in 1963. She won a record number of 62 Grand Slam titles in all – 24 singles, including three at Wimbledon, five in Paris, five at the US Championships and eleven in Australia.

The Margaret Court Cup was donated by the Veterans Tennis Club of Western Australia in honour of Margaret Court in 1994 for women players of the forty-five age category. The inaugural event was held in Perth, Australia.

The 2006 event took place from 17-22 April in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The USA defeated Australia in the final. Full results can be found below.

The 2007 competition took place from 23-28 April in Antalya, Turkey. France won their first title since 1994, beating the Netherlands in the final. Results can be found below.
