France, Fred Perry Cup Winners 2007
France, Fred Perry Cup Winners 2007
Fred Perry remains the man against whom all British tennis achievements are judged. He was the last Briton to win the Men's Singles Championship at Wimbledon - where he was champion in 1934, 1935 and 1936 and also won the US Singles Championship three times and the French and Australian Championships once each.

He won 45 of the 52 Davis Cup rubbers he contested and played in the winning British teams of 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936.

The Fred Perry Cup for men of the fifty age category was donated by Fred Perry Sportswear (UK) Limited in 1991. The inaugural event was held in Bournemouth, England.

The 2006 event took place from 17-22 April in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The USA won, defeating France in the final. Full results can be found below.

In 2007, the Fred Perry Cup took place from 23-28 April in Antalya, Turkey. France beat the USA in the final, in a reverse of last year's result. Results are below.
