ESCH-SUR-ALZETTE, LUXEMBOURG: The second edition of the International Championships of Luxembourg, a Grade 5 event on the ITF Seniors Circuit took place from the 8th - 11th November at the Centre National de Tennis in Esch/Alzette.
This tournament was well supported with 65 players attending from 10 nations.
Tournament Director François Dahm invited all to Player Night which took place on the Saturday evening - an enjoyable time was had by all with many players confirming that they will come back to Luxembourg in March for the third edition.
Of the 7 titles available, only one went to a local player. Current world no 28 (whose achieved a top ten ranking in 2011) Tanja Suennen won womens 35s title without dropping a set.
