The Cooper Challenger, the only women's clay-court tournament to be held in Canada in 2012 to date, will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. First held as a $25,000 event in 2008, it was upgraded last year to a $50K entity, which meant the calibre of players who entered increased as well.
The Waterloo Tennis Club will host the Cooper Challenger presented by Victoria Star Motors from July 7-15, 2012, and admission is free!
Last year’s tournament was captured by Canadian Sharon Fichman in singles and Americans Alexandra Mueller and Asia Muhammed in doubles.
