Norweigian 18-year-old Ulrikke Eikeri is August's featured player on the ITF Pro Circuit.
The teenager contested the final of each of three tournaments entered into during the course of the month taking in three singles and one doubles event.
Her opening match of the month saw her named the No. 2 seed and other than a slight blip in the second round she won all sets played 61 in the opening three rounds. The semifinals saw her take the first set only to be pulled back onto level terms with a 7-1 tie break loss which she soon rectified with a 7-3 final set tie break win to take her into the final in Ilawa, Poland. Here a 63 62 win soon brought her a first title of the month.
Her next port of call was Locri in Italy where she was in singles and doubles action. Seeded fifth in singles and, with Alessia Camplone, first in doubles two more final appearances were to come her way. Despite putting in strong performances in both finals she was to emerge from the matches without the titles, losing 26 75 64 in the singles and 36 63 [10-8] in doubles.
The final tournament of the month saw her return to title winning form. Staying in Italy she competed in the singles event of the Bagnatica tournament and was seeded fourth. Eikeri made steady progress through the draw meeting little resistance until the final match. Facing Armenia's Ani Amiraghyan across the net Eikeri claimed her second singles title of the month with a close 64 64 win.
