The Malaysia F4 tournament was held in Kuala Lumpur. The city features the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers which are the world's tallest twin towers and was the world's tallest building before being surpassed by Taipei 101 which in turn will be surpassed in 2010 by the 818 metre Burj Dubai.

With the monsoon season in Malaysia in full swing and with so much rainfall, most matches were forced under cover on the 3 indoor courts.

The singles final was won in straight sets by unseeded Soong-Jae Cho from Korea who defeated the No.1 seed from the USA, Nathan Thompson, 62 63.

The doubles final also featured Nathan Thompson who partnered Kirati Siributong. The match was won by the No. 4 seeds from Belarus Siarhei Betau and Dzmitry Zhyrmont 62 76(2).
