MIYAZAKI, JAPAN: Japan's 17-year-old Makoto Ninomiya claimed her first Pro Circuit singles title with victory in her very first final.

The teenager, unseeded, took the title with a three-set 60 67(5) 60 win over her sixth seeded opponent Yumi Miyazaki.

Miyazaki also missed out on the doubles title where with her partner Kanae Hisami. She and her partner were seeded fourth, andlost out 63 60 to the unseeded pairing of Akari Inoue & Hiroko Kuwata.

Credit though to Miyazaki who endured a tough weekend which saw her play two singles matches and one doubles match on Saturday due to being behind schedule and then played both finals on Sunday!
