TOKYO-AKISHIMA, JAPAN: Two Hiros clashed in last Sunday's singles final in the Japanese capital; Hiroki Kondo and Hiroyasu Ehara.

Number three seed Kondo made up for his disappointment in the 2011 final at this same venue by claiming the title with a 62 76(3) win over his fourth seeded opponent.

The 29-year-old Davis Cup player, who was competing in his second all-Japanese final of the year, won a career fifth Pro Circuit singles title in what was his 13th final.

Victory also saw Kondo improve his win-loss record in Pro Circuit singles finals versus fellow Japanese players to 2-6 and only Satoshi Iwabuchi has now played in more all-Japanese men's singles finals on the ITF Pro Circuit.
