The Thailand F5 Futures tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima (nicknamed Korat). Korat is located in central Thailand about 250km north-east of Bangkok - the third largest city in Thailand and home of the Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base. With the airfield close by, F-16's and F-5E fighter bombers were, like the tennis players, practicing every day.

The singles final was won by the No. 3 seed, Hungarian Adam Kellner, who defeated an unseeded player from Finland, Harri Heliovaara, 26 76(5) 64.

Harri Heliovaara, however, found success in the doubles event. Partnering Roman Jebavy, they defeated the New Zealand pairing of Matt Simpson and Will Ward 62 62.
